730, The House

Just a quick post today. I wanted to post some pictures of the house, lovingly called 730, before and after. I've been trying to think up a way to blog about projects that we've done the last four years we've lived here, and I think flash back Mondays may be the way to go. There are kitchen make overs, floor refinishing, and bathroom remodels to share. So without further ado, let me introduce you to my house...

We signed on October 1, 2008 and got the keys to a 1934 bungalow with 1000 square feet and a new a/c unit. There was no landscaping and the taupe color of the siding was carried into the inside as taupe paint, taupe vinyl flooring, and taupe carpet.

Like the outside, the inside was top to bottom beige/taupe/ugly. They handed us the keys and we went straight over and ripped the carpet out. The first two are of the dining room with it's built in hutch and red stained floor. The third is the living room and the last is our 29.5 inch hallway, which was a joy to my heart when trying to find a couch that fit into the family room.

The kitchen had no appliances and 5 cabinets, they can all be seen in this picture...

It now looks like this...thank the patron saint of kitchen remodels and Ikea

The bedrooms kept their carpet, but only because I'm not a fan of getting out of bed onto a cold floor in the morning. The plan was to get them re carpeted ASAP four years later. The master became the family room and is pictured center.

There are a couple before and afters, but mostly before. With exception to the kitchen, shade patio, and the master bedroom picture, those rooms were projects we did and I'd rather write a post for each of them.

So there's a small glimpse at what's going on inside and outside I can't wait to share how they look now!
